Unbelievably, we are starting the fourth of the nine weeks of day camp that we will offer this summer. This is not like any other camp you have probably ever had your child participate in. Our summer day camp is geared toward developing character, a work ethic, and learning new skills, as well as just having fun working with other kids and the horses. We have space still for the July and August camps. We serve age 7 to young adult, and we ask that people with special needs and children younger than age 7 have their own attendant at camp. Camp runs 9 am to 4 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for participants that are new this summer. We do horse care, gardening, cooking, and nutrition classes, along with horse activities. There are opportunities to participate in building projects and other big jobs in our "Ranch Hand" program. Most weeks, we hope to do a field trip to different businesses so that kids can learn about what it takes to get the job and keep the job. We teach respect for ourselves, each other, God, authority figures, and our country's past. We suggest a donation of $40 per child per week, or that people try to get sponsors or help raise money other ways if cash is not an option for them. Give us a call at 541-451-1243 for more information or to enroll.
